What has IRQB been able to achieve in two years?
IRQB’s second anniversary comes during an unprecedented time in world. The outburst of the coronavirus has strongly affected our everyday lives but also the functioning of rail businesses. However, the global health crisis has not stopped us from advancing on the technical front. We have concluded the work of 3 IRQB working groups and introduced an additional 3 to provide the sector with the best possible work practices for high quality business management systems. The results of the concluded working groups were compiled into IRQB Guidelines that we invite you to consult on our publications page.
IRQB has also played an integral part in introducing the IRIS Certification Silver quality performance level, launched earlier in September. Focus on the quality performance of individual rail businesses gives companies further incentive to strive towards higher standards, eventually improving the position of the whole sector and moving daily mobility towards more sustainable means of transportation. We are also pleased to announce that, starting this September, IRIS Certification has launched the test phase for the highest – Gold quality performance level.
Despite the crisis, IRQB is happy to see the increasing number of IRIS Certified companies that is a proof of commitment to quality in the rail sector.
